Introduction
------------

Welcome to the CDX DirectX class libraries!

CDX is a set of class libraries for Microsoft's DirectX, however its structure is only loosely based around the DirectX components. Instead CDX is structured around the objects required to create a game. The aim is to make the use of DirectX simple and transparent to the programmer.

This release represents quite a change in direction from previous versions, the idea being to create a component based set of libraries from which you can pick and choose the features you require in your programs. However, the underlying principal of ease of use without sacrificing performance remains unchanged.
